Sam Altman, the newly appointed CEO of OpenAI, announced that Microsoft will occupy an observer position on the new board of directors without voting rights.
The media was unable to obtain an immediate comment from Microsoft regarding this development, due to their major support for the emerging artificial intelligence company.
Microsoft’s CEO, Satya Nadella, who brought Altman to work at OpenAI after his dismissal earlier, stated that the ChatGPT program needed an update.
In his first official message after regaining control of the company, Altman stated that Mira Murati, who was temporarily appointed as CEO after his dismissal, had returned to her position as the company’s Chief Technology Officer.
Altman announced that Greg Brookman, the co-founder, would return to the position of CEO of the company, and he confirmed, saying: “Greg and I are partners in managing this project, and we have not yet reached detailed organizational arrangements, but we will cooperate to achieve that.”
