Samsung has started preparing to launch its new product “Galaxy Ring,” which has recently been unveiled, and is expected to be released later this year.
As the launch of their new product approaches, Samsung plans to increase production to meet the anticipated demand from customers.
The smart ring Galaxy Ring is scheduled to be launched in the second half of 2024, with Samsung already producing large quantities in preparation for the start of pre-booking in August to avoid any potential shortage of available units.
According to a report by the Korean tech site The Elec, Samsung plans to produce nearly 400,000 units of the smart ring initially to meet the initial consumer demands.
This initial number is significant compared to the sales of smart rings in the market, representing half of what the leading smart ring company, Aura, sold since its first smart ring launch in 2016 until March 2022.
If the demand for the Galaxy Ring smart ring continues to increase, Samsung is expected to be able to meet these demands due to the small size of the ring and the availability of its manufacturing parts.
Samsung unveiled its smart ring earlier this year, showcasing it to the public during the MWC 2023 conference last month. The company mentioned that the ring will come in nine sizes and three different colors, and will feature a powerful battery capable of staying charged for up to nine days.
The ring will be able to communicate with Samsung phones, smartwatches, and many Android devices, but it will not be compatible with iPhones.
