The Samsung Company is working on enhancing the capabilities of artificial intelligence in the upcoming versions of its smart phones in collaboration with Google.
According to the statement of the company’s Vice President specialized in semiconductor industry, Joe Chulmin, Samsung has started working on incorporating the second generation of the Gemini Nano artificial intelligence model in the upcoming Galaxy S25 series phones. He explained that the company will hold a meeting with Google next week to discuss the matter. Published by local Korean media.
The Gemini Nano, which is considered an artificial intelligence model by Google, is being used by Samsung in the Galaxy S24 phones for some AI features. The high-end spec phones introduced in 2023 with the One UI 6.1 update were launched, and Gemini Nano works on devices without the need for external servers.
So far, Google has not revealed any details regarding the second version of Gemini Nano, and Samsung’s statement confirms that Google is working on developing these models. Gemini, or that it has already developed them, and that its upcoming phones will have improved performance in the field of artificial intelligence.
It is still unclear whether the upcoming artificial intelligence features from Samsung, called Galaxy AI, will be free regardless of the price of the smartphone itself.
