The Ministry of Information in Riyadh today signed a cooperation agreement with Microsoft Arabia Limited in several areas.
Present at the signing ceremony were Mr. Abdullah Al Moghalith, Assistant Minister of Information, and Mr. Ziya Mansour, Executive Vice President of Microsoft for Data and Artificial Intelligence.
Signing the memorandum on behalf of the Ministry of Information was Eng. Basem Al Hazmi, General Supervisor of Digital Transformation, Information Technology, and Cybersecurity, while Mr. Turki Badrees, President of Microsoft Arabia, represented the company.
The collaboration focuses on developing technical aspects in the areas of data analysis, self-learning, artificial intelligence, security and privacy solutions, software and various services development solutions; aiming to enhance the quality of local media content, and keep pace with global transformations to serve the future goals of the Ministry of Information.
The memorandum aims to strengthen the media sector in the Kingdom and empower it to contribute to the local economy and leverage developments in the field of artificial intelligence and its various applications in the media industry.
