The head of the technology giant Microsoft said there is currently no opportunity to develop super artificial intelligence that surpasses human intelligence in the next 12 months. He also warned that these technologies may not be ready until decades later.
In his remarks to journalists in Britain, Brad Smith criticized the exaggeration by the global media, concerning a new breakthrough in the field of super artificial intelligence, which will be much more advanced than human capabilities.
Smith said: “There is no breakthrough at all in what is known as super artificial intelligence, where computers will be more powerful than humans in the next 12 months, and it will take years if not decades.”
When asked about the impact of this discovery on Altman’s dismissal, he replied, “I don’t think this is the case. It is clear that there was a disagreement between the board and others, but it was not related to leaks about a new invention.”
