Google and Samsung have come together to introduce AI features in various aspects of the distinctive new Galaxy S24 phone series.
According to Google’s official blog, Samsung Galaxy S24 devices will rely on their own Gemini Pro model in the field of artificial intelligence to fully utilize its benefits.
The Gemini Pro model offers many advantages when using Samsung applications, such as summarization feature in voice recording apps and the keyboard. For instance, you can record a lecture or meeting and then get a summary of the key points discussed in the recording.
Individuals can also instantly translate calls and messages to make communication with others in different languages easy, and easily find things by drawing a circle around them, among other benefits.
In the Gallery app in the S24 series, Google also provides the Imagen 2 model that generates images to enable advanced photo editing features. Thanks to this model, some complex photo editing steps can be easily executed.
The AI features provide previous information through the Google Cloud service, and Google announced that Galaxy S24 phones are also equipped with the Gemini Nano model to activate some features within the devices themselves without the need to connect to the internet and process tasks on its servers.
Google mentioned that Samsung will be one of the first companies to test the Gemini Ultra model, which is the larger model designed for complex tasks, before it becomes available to developers and other companies later this year.
