Chinese company Tecno has revealed its new artificial intelligence assistant, named “Ella,” which will be available on its devices later this year.
The new smart assistant from Tecno will be capable of performing various tasks such as delivering news, answering inquiries, and creating images.
Tecno explained that the image generation feature will adjust the images according to the appearances of people in different regions around the world, such as Southeast Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and America.
Tecno will be incorporating artificial intelligence features significantly into its HiOS system used on its Android-based devices.
One of the benefits is the ability to translate calls and conversations in social media apps, as well as overlay translation on videos.
Image editing technology in Tecno will enhance performance and intelligence by providing options like removing unwanted people and elements from images, creating custom stickers. The company also mimics Google’s magic eraser tool, one of the standout features of the new Pixel phones.
Tecno provides an image search function with ease using artificial intelligence techniques, allowing users to find images in the app by entering a simple description, similar to Google Photos.
The new additions announced by Tecno come after Google and Samsung announced similar features in their new smartphones. It is expected that other companies in the mobile device market will unveil similar technologies during this year.
