The Brave browser has started rolling out the new artificial intelligence assistant “Leo” to users to help them perform various tasks while browsing the internet.
The personal assistant Leo is now available to browser users on the Android system and all other systems, except for the iOS system on Apple devices, but the development company has promised to provide it in the coming weeks.
According to the developer company, its smart assistant has been designed based on its own search engine, which means that search operations are not tracked or stored; as its products are designed to protect user privacy as they claim.
The artificial intelligence assistant Leo can perform some important tasks in the Brave browser while browsing, such as summarizing content on web pages and video clips, answering various questions and inquiries in general, assisting in writing emails and social media posts, as well as providing suggestions and corrections while typing.
Moreover, the assistant is also capable of translating texts and conversations instantly, assisting in language learning, as well as helping developers write code and other tasks.
The assistant relies on several large linguistic models such as Mixtral 8x7B, Claude Instant, and Llama 2 13B, with the ability to switch between them when necessary.
Users can benefit from Leo’s assistant for free without the need to create an account, with some restrictions on usage. They also have the option to subscribe for a monthly fee of $15 to access additional services.
