The Council of Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi continued its sessions during Ramadan, where the second session was held under the title “How advanced technology shapes the future,” sponsored and attended by Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, the President of the Municipality and Planning Department in Ajman. Also, it included the participation of Professor Dr. Mohammed Al Qasim, the Director of Dubai Future Academy, and Dr. Ibtisam Al Mazrouei, an expert in artificial intelligence and advanced technology, the founder of AIE3 company, and was attended by a number of experts and enthusiasts.
Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid stated at the beginning of his speech that everyone looks forward to the future with optimism and hope, searching for opportunities, as we are in a country led by a wise leadership that cares about the future and makes every effort to anticipate and adapt to advanced nations and achieve leadership. It is clear that readiness for the future is a shared responsibility that falls on everyone.
With the evolution of technology and artificial intelligence, they have become indispensable in all aspects of life. We must be prepared for the future, and we need to understand the challenges and turn them into opportunities and possibilities. It is pointed out that all countries seek to envision the future and understand how sectors will be in the future.
Mohamed Al Kaabi, the Executive Director of the Media Office in the Ajman government, led the meeting, which witnessed a large presence and active participation from the attendees. He emphasized that meetings are the best platform for exchanging knowledge and transferring experiences among the participants, for discussing various aspects of life, identifying challenges, suggesting solutions, reviewing history, studying the current situation, and striving for a better future for everyone.
Dr. Mohammed Qasim spoke about technological innovations and modern software that may change the world in the future. Some may consider them fictional, but they will become realistic someday. For example, he discussed experiments predicting human health conditions using artificial intelligence and robotics technology.
The discussion continued about the experience of organ transplantation, where a bladder was successfully transplanted as a first experiment, and the results showed that modern techniques will achieve superior results, enhance quality of life, and encourage competition among nations for excellence and innovation.
Dr. Ibtisam Al Mazrouei talked about the significant development in generative artificial intelligence, which includes creating texts, images, and videos. She noted that the recent period witnessed a significant improvement due to the increase in data volume, and now we have innovative models like Falcon and Noor.
What comes after artificial intelligence? She explained that the current and future period includes building massive models and using them in important sectors such as health, education, and energy, using available data.
She mentioned that generative artificial intelligence requires adopting skills and competencies and talents that must be developed in cooperation with leading entities. She pointed out that one of the essential skills required is precise adjustment and the learning process enhanced by human resources and the human mind.
