A team of qualified experts from the General Directorate of Passports warmly welcomes pilgrims of the Holy Kaaba at the “Mecca Route” initiative lounge at Ankara’s Esenboga International Airport with Turkish greetings and congratulations.
The team verifies the pilgrims’ Hajj visa, assigns them to counters to complete their entry procedures to the Kingdom, and handles their mobile luggage and offices.
Afterwards, their passports are checked at the exit gate. They proceed to the waiting lounge adorned with designs and drawings of the Kaaba and the Holy Mosque. The pilgrims feel the spirituality, their presence and passports are confirmed before boarding the plane, whether heading to King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah or Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Medina. Then, they are escorted to their accommodations through dedicated pathways.
The work is characterized by speed and precision in execution thanks to qualified and trained competencies, modern facilities, the use of cutting-edge technologies, and the utilization of artificial intelligence programs.
Remember that the “Mecca Route” initiative is one of the Ministry of Interior’s initiatives within the Guest of the Merciful service program, which is part of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. This initiative continues its implementation for the sixth year in collaboration with several ministries and government entities, including the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Health, Hajj and Umrah, and Media, in addition to the General Authority of Civil Aviation, the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (Sadaia).
