The Mohammed bin Rashid Library is participating for the first time in the International Library and Technology Festival in Turkey, themed “The Key to the Digital Future: Smart Libraries based on Artificial Intelligence,” from March 23 to 27, with the participation of a group of experts and specialists in the field of public libraries from around the world.
This participation aligns with the library’s vision to enhance academic and practical cooperation with international institutions in the library field, exchange technical information, and closely link it to library science. It also aims to directly communicate with public institutions to strengthen mutual collaboration in this field.
Dr. Mohammed Salem Al Mazrouei, a board member of the Mohammed bin Rashid Library Foundation, pointed out that participation in the International Library and Technology Festival in Turkey reflects the library’s vision to enhance cooperation and exchange of experiences at the global level, based on strategic partnerships to support cultural advancement over the next fifty years and contribute to shaping the future of digital technology in the library field.
On the other hand, Ali Juma Al Tamimi, the Libraries Manager at the Mohammed bin Rashid Library, emphasized the importance of seeking out new ideas, emerging technologies, and innovative strategies in the field of public libraries, which can contribute to enhancing the library’s role as a beacon of excellence and creativity.
The library showcases its latest technologies and innovations, highlighting artificial intelligence and virtual reality technologies integrated into its advanced technological system, and showcasing the smart services available in its halls that enhance the readers’ experience and facilitate access to cultural content like never before.
Library representatives at the International Festival, Meitha Yousuf Dhowaish, Senior Officer in Libraries, and Asmaa Yousuf Al Ahmed, Libraries Officer, will provide explanations about the library and its annual programs, in addition to showcasing prominent book exhibitions, creative workshops, intellectual seminars, and educational programs for children.
