An agreement was signed yesterday between the Council for Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Technology in Abu Dhabi, in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy and Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty of France, aiming to develop a biological system for artificial intelligence in both countries.
This agreement was signed between the Council and the Ministry within the framework of the strategic partnership between the United Arab Emirates and France, with the goal of enhancing cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence through investment programs and partnerships aimed at promoting sustainable development, and utilizing technology in artificial intelligence.
The memorandum was signed by His Excellency Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Affairs Authority, a member of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and a member of the Council for Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Technology, and His Excellency Bruno Le Maire, Minister of Economy and Finance and Industry and Digital in France.
The memorandum includes multiple areas for collaboration between the United Arab Emirates and France.
- Establishment of a data center and infrastructure for high-performance computing: This center will provide training opportunities and consulting capabilities in the field of artificial intelligence for French and European companies at competitive prices, and will enhance cooperation with local and international cloud computing operators to promote innovation and research and development.
- Investment in the biological system of artificial intelligence: This agreement will enable the two countries to explore investment opportunities in startups and specialized investment funds in the field of artificial intelligence and its applications in key sectors such as healthcare, financial services, software, retail trade, industry, and next-generation devices.
- Collaboration in the manufacturing sector: The agreement will allow opportunities for joint manufacturing and provision of semiconductors, including advanced chips necessary for artificial intelligence applications.
- Workforce development: According to the agreement, the countries will also collaborate on workforce development and qualification through joint educational initiatives providing the best training programs in artificial intelligence for each.
