The Knowledge Summit 2023 concluded its physical and social tour held at the Dubai World Trade Center on November 21 and 22 with a dialogue session titled “Artificial Intelligence in Media… Crafting Unique and Specialized Experiences”.
Elie Habib, the co-founder and CEO of technology at Anghami, explained during the meeting that artificial intelligence uses data analysis to understand the audience’s needs and preferences. Thanks to this analysis, media content can be adapted to be more effective in targeting specific user groups according to their behaviors and preferences, customizing content based on their interests and interactions.
This enhances the user experience positively. On the other hand, Fares Akkad, the regional director for the Middle East and Africa at Meta, pointed out that artificial intelligence can help in creating specialized media by identifying user interests and analyzing their online behavior, as well as the ability to determine a consumption pattern of content for the user and create a media profile that reflects their expectations and interests.
He explained that artificial intelligence aids in combating misleading and fake news by developing new strategies to detect and process them, including using machine learning algorithms to analyze data and identify patterns that indicate the presence of such news and filter them out.
On the other hand, Dr. Jana Bouraslan, an educational content creator on the TikTok platform, mentioned that artificial intelligence has positive impacts on the media such as increasing the efficiency and speed of producing media content by executing many tasks that previously required significant time and effort, as well as contributing to improving content quality by using algorithms to analyze data and identify the most relevant content to the audience and creating new creative content.
