The company Meta has announced a new update for its smart glasses “Ray Ban”, where new features have been added, including an increase in the video recording duration to 3 minutes. Thanks to this update, users can now record videos directly from the glasses for a duration of up to three times the previous duration of 60 seconds.
The Meta smart glasses are distinguished by having a built-in camera as one of their key features, and despite the high video recording quality, the recording duration has always been limited to a certain extent.
It should be noted that video recording was limited to the vertical mode only and it was possible to record clips for a duration of no more than one minute. However, this was changed in the latest update.
Meta has not yet released reviews of the official version, but has begun rolling out the new software update version 6.0 across all smart glasses. The new update includes an increase in the video recording duration to 3 minutes, and also supports the Calm and Amazon Music apps in addition to many other features.
A new update was released for the smart glasses introduced by Meta at the end of May, and this update brought many changes. However, the time limit for video recording is still set at a maximum of 60 seconds. But to record longer videos up to 3 minutes, users need to adjust the camera settings and change the video length.
After adjusting this setting, users will be able to record longer videos using the built-in 12-megapixel camera. It should be noted that recording long videos may affect the battery life of the smart glasses.
The app update includes support for seamless playback, where users can now use the Amazon Music app in addition to Spotify and Apple Music. Users can simply long-press the glasses stem to start playback immediately, or use voice commands to play music.
