The “Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare (AIHC)” research chair, affiliated with the Research Chairs Secretariat at the University’s Agency for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, has won the Kingdom’s Research Laboratories Support Program provided by the Research, Development, and Innovation Authority.
The research chair’s victory revolved around the axis of “(National Priority: Human Health and Future Economies)”, where the chair aims to enhance health research, develop healthcare, support scientific knowledge, market its capabilities, register patents, and create an economic impact in line with the Kingdom’s policies.
Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University signed an agreement with the Research, Development, and Innovation Authority regarding the financial support for scientific research in research institutions.
The university received three research grants from the British Council through collaboration with faculty members at the university with universities in London, Strathclyde University, and Durham University.
This comes as part of the Research Chairs Secretariat’s efforts at the university to support the achievement of the 2025 strategic plan goals, aiming to enhance research, innovation, and entrepreneurship. This is done by establishing a framework and supportive policies for innovative activities, leading business accelerators, supporting innovative ideas, and producing studies and research related to national development.
