WhatsApp has begun testing new features that allow users to edit photos using smart technologies before sharing them.
Based on feedback gathered from the latest beta version of the app on the Android system, it seems that the platform is testing new options to enhance the user experience in editing photos before sharing.
People can see the new options in the photo editing interface after selecting the image and before sending it.
Clicking on the custom icon to edit photos using artificial intelligence reveals three different options, including the “background” option, which allows the user to change the background of the image as desired.
Furthermore, WhatsApp offers a “Restyle” feature to modify the style of the images and give them a new artistic look.
In addition, the “Zoom” feature will allow users to zoom in on the entire image, giving them the ability to adjust the size of their images as they wish.
These new options are believed to offer users new possibilities to enhance and process their images without incurring any additional costs, aiming to personalize images, enhance communication experiences, and promote sharing.
At the same time, it is also said that WhatsApp is working on another feature based on artificial intelligence, enabling users to interact directly with the “Meta AI” assistant through the in-app search bar, where the smart assistant can answer user questions, execute commands, produce images, and perform other tasks. Meta is also testing the ability to create stickers within the app using artificial intelligence.
These new features are still under testing and are expected to be available to users in the coming months.
