Egyptian artist Ahmed Helmy warned his audience on social media about a fake advertisement created using artificial intelligence to deceive viewers into believing that the actor is endorsing an application that offers financial benefits.
Helmy shared a video on his social media accounts showcasing the fake advertisement, where the creators claimed that Osama Hosny, a presenter on Al Ahly channel, is reading a news piece about Ahmed Helmy and his application that supposedly allows users to earn up to $1500 daily.
The Egyptian actor appeared in a video that was dubbed using smart technology, speaking in formal Arabic about the alleged application and its financial gains.
In his comment on the advertisement, Ahmed Helmy said: “Do not believe these false claims, may the curse of artificial intelligence and its creator be upon them.”
Helmy expressed his astonishment at some people’s belief in the advertisement and the spread of the application that was promoted, confirming that he is amazed by people who think he speaks the same way in TV series.
