The Traffic and Patrols Directorate affiliated with the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters has launched an initiative aimed at using artificial intelligence for traffic awareness in schools, through the traffic robot in activities and programs, as part of its road safety strategy.
Colonel Mahmoud Youssef Al-Baloushi, the director of the directorate, explained that the initiative focuses on direct interaction of the school community with the traffic robot in providing awareness, by employing modern technologies in an innovative and smart way to enhance awareness of traffic culture and laws compliance.
He pointed out that the traffic robot is considered a friend to the school community, offering rich content with images, videos, and clear audio to educate and raise traffic awareness in various initiatives implemented by Abu Dhabi Police or in various events involving its main partners, in addition to its central role in enhancing awareness in schools.
He added that the initiative has received wide response from students, administrative and teaching staff, as they directly interact with the robot providing awareness services, urging them to comply with traffic laws and rules, warning them against wrong behaviors, and answering a variety of inquiries that enhance traffic safety.
