The innovation center in education and learning at the American University in Sharjah has launched the Artificial Intelligence Center as a dedicated digital platform to enhance AI education in alignment with the UAE’s National Artificial Intelligence Strategy 2031.
The Artificial Intelligence Center will provide support for projects aiming to improve education through the use of AI technology, enhance educational experiences meeting faculty needs, promote collaboration between faculty, students, and researchers, and encourage AI-focused research to push the boundaries of educational innovation at the American University in Sharjah.
The AI Week included keynote speeches, dialogues, and workshops focusing on the impact of AI in education. Various topics were discussed such as generative AI and the interactive use of AI in education and its role in shaping the future of learning.
Dr. Norita Ahmed, Director of the Innovation Center in Education and Learning at the American University in Sharjah, stated that the AI Week aims to build an ecosystem that enhances AI, develops teaching methodologies, learning experiences, and academic research. This collective effort reflects the initiatives to promote innovation in education by establishing the AI Center at the university, where they seek to guide the future aspirations of students through the development of educational capabilities beyond traditional frameworks.
