LinkedIn has started testing a new method to increase its revenues, this time by introducing a new service tailored for small and medium-sized companies.
The social networking platform dedicated to the professional world has confirmed the launch of a new subscription titled Premium Company Page .
The subscription fee is $100 per month, including the use of artificial intelligence to generate content, new tools to increase followers, and other benefits to enhance the profiles of participating companies.
This step is significant as it demonstrates how Microsoft’s subsidiary company is diversifying its business model.
With continuous changes on social media platforms and search engines, LinkedIn aims to create a secure environment for professional social accounts by guiding ads and algorithms discovered by users.
LinkedIn has begun sharing information about the features of the new subscription, Premium Company Page. The platform affirmed: “We are always looking for new ways to enhance our customers’ experience and help them achieve their business goals.”
Currently, they are testing a new subscription tailored for small and medium-sized business customers to assist in attracting clients, bolstering credibility, and building reputation with the public.
This subscription marks a new step in a series of exclusive offers designed by LinkedIn for companies on its platform, providing different levels of usage and pricing for individuals and employers utilizing the platform.
Other levels include focusing on business with Career Premium for job seekers, Premium Business for practical intelligence, Sales Navigator for sales teams, Recruiter for talent scouting and hiring, and Learning for professional development.
Exclusive services are a significant source of income, and in March, LinkedIn announced a 25% annual increase in premium user subscriptions, reaching $1.7 billion by 2023.
In that year, LinkedIn generated $15 billion, with $7 billion of that amount attributed to employment-related activities.
The distinguished company page subscription seems very familiar in certain aspects, benefiting from the known mechanisms of LinkedIn.
Page administrators can review new visitors in case these visitors don’t activate privacy settings, leveraging that to invite them to follow later regardless of connection quality.
Website administrators can also create encouraging buttons for users to take action by prominently displaying contact details or website location at the top of the page.
The subscription assists in writing using smart technologies, providing recommendations and client quotes with an optional image, along with the LinkedIn Premium logo.
