Oman Data Park has collaborated with Idzkao group to launch the largest updated cloud computing platforms in the Sultanate of Oman, known as the Jibrein system for smart infrastructure. The launch event was honored by the presence of His Highness Sheikh Ghasan bin Hilal Al Alawi, who holds the position of President of the State Financial and Administrative Control Apparatus. This initiative aims to enrich the Omani market with a wide range of integrated cloud storage services, along with artificial intelligence solutions and electronic security. This step comes as a continuation of the initial investment made by Idzkao group in obtaining advanced cloud computing services from Oracle, where the Jibrein project represents the second stage in offering an advanced range of cloud services including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS). Thus, the company contributes to setting new standards in the fields of data management and cybersecurity within the Sultanate.
Jibrein introduces its advanced systems for smart infrastructure under its innovative identity, providing comprehensive technological solutions adhering to international standards. These solutions aim to enhance systems within governmental bodies and commercial institutions in the Sultanate, while considering the applicable standards in Oman. Additionally, the company plays a role in data preservation and cost reduction by transitioning from capital expenditure to operating expenses, as well as driving growth towards leveraging artificial intelligence. Jibrein will seek to accelerate the digital transformation further, within the scope of the competition for transformation in the region.
Advanced Systems with Artificial Intelligence
Jibrein’s smart infrastructure solutions work on improving operations through the application of advanced systems supported by artificial intelligence, internet communication, and information security, to extend benefits to governmental bodies, banks, and companies. Additionally, they will offer additional services related to data and information analysis, alongside advanced solutions that contribute to making sectors more dynamic and efficient in driving business growth with greater flexibility.
Mr. Maqbul Al Wahibi, the General Manager of Oman Data Park, stated that the new cloud system (Jibrein for smart infrastructure) will offer its services to a wide range of entities including government institutions, private companies, as well as the oil and gas sectors and banking institutions. This will be through a strategic collaboration between Oman Data Park and Idzkao group with the aim of introducing advanced technologies of these systems to the market.
He noted that as the largest cloud system for providing technological solutions according to international standards while maintaining the Oman standards applicable in this sector, this system will have a significant impact on enhancing data storage internally and reducing costs by shifting from capital expenditures to operational expenses, aiming to support the country’s progress towards digital transformation.
Oman Data Park will give special attention to small and medium enterprises and active technology institutions in the Sultanate, through organizing direct sales operations to serve the development of the digital sector in Oman and align with the economic and strategic agenda in line with “Vision Oman 2024” and its technological contents.
Said bin Abdullah Al-Mandhari, CEO of Idzkao group, stated that the new partnership entered into with Oman Data Park aims to enhance and reinforce the position of Jibrein systems in the field of smart infrastructure. This partnership serves as a model for joint efforts between the private and public sectors to support and develop communication and information technology strategies, taking into account the ongoing developments in the Fourth Industrial Revolution era.
He mentioned: This important partnership between Idzkao group and Oman Data Park will work on accelerating the implementation of projects, given what it provides in terms of a strong impetus to develop cloud services, enhance electronic security capabilities, improve Internet device connectivity solutions, as well as elevate the level of supporting technical services.
Data transmission and communications
