Riyadh – The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) has announced the launch of the “Allam Challenge,” aimed at advancing the Arabic language through the development and enhancement of Large Language Models (LLMs) using the “Allam” model. This challenge will focus on several key areas, including:
- Developing a model capable of writing and understanding Arabic poetry.
- Creating an AI model that accurately parses Arabic sentences.
- Designing a model to help children learn Arabic in fun and effective ways.
- Developing an AI model that mimics and converses with prominent Arabic figures or emulates their writing styles.
This initiative is part of SDAIA’s ongoing efforts to build and enhance national capabilities in data and artificial intelligence.
Objectives of the Challenge
The “Allam Challenge” aims to find innovative solutions by developing and improving LLMs for the Arabic language using the “Allam” model. The challenge will provide contestants with opportunities for training and workshops led by experts in data and artificial intelligence, as well as specialists in literature and poetry.
Challenge Launch Date
The “Allam Challenge” will kick off during the third edition of the Global AI Summit in early September. Winners will be announced in November, with prizes totaling up to one million Riyals.
